I am so glad you are here.

I’m Angie Chisholm, a certified nurse-midwife and proud Shelbyville native. I founded RISE out of a deep desire to offer trauma-informed, community-rooted care to the women of Kentucky. My journey as a provider, patient, and caregiver has shown me how vital it is to feel truly seen and supported in healthcare — especially during life’s major transitions.

The strong women who raised me — my mother, stepmother, grandmothers, aunts, and neighbors — taught me the value of resilience, tenderness, and showing up for one another. That spirit is the foundation of this clinic.

I’ve been a midwife since 2009, caring for families in homes, hospitals, and birth centers. I hold degrees from Frontier Nursing University and Johns Hopkins University and currently serve on faculty at Frontier. I’m also active in state and national efforts to improve women’s health care, including leading quality initiatives and serving as co-chair of the Public Engagement Committee for the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
